Description

How accessible is your hybrid or online course? What steps can you take to make it more accessible? In this 3-day problem solving asynchronous workshop, you will work with your accessibility specialist facilitator and your fellow participants to explore and answer these and other related questions and evaluate the accessibility of your course materials. Then you will develop an actionable plan for improving the accessibility of your hybrid or online course.

Designing with Accessibility in Mind is an online, 3-day workshop from the Online Learning Consortium through a partnership with the University System of Maryland. The workshop will begin on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 and end on Friday, September 30, 2016, requiring approximately 3-5 hours of work, including reading research-based articles, viewing presentations, engaging in online discussion forums, and submitting assignments. 

To sign up for an OLC workshop, please open an RT ticket with the name of the workshop and preferred date(s). Please submit your request at least seven days prior to the start of the workshop to allow time for OLC processing. Instructional Technology staff will assist with your registration, answer any questions you may have about the experience, etc. You will receive a confirmation email from OLC after we register you and an additional email about 24 hours before the workshop begins with login information.
