Instructional Technology Welcomes Ben Amudzi to Team

I am pleased to introduce and welcome the newest member of the Instructional Technology team: Mr. Benedictus (Ben) Amudzi.

Ben joins the team as an Instructional Technology Specialist. He is finalizing his doctoral studies at Ohio University in Innovative Learning Design and Technology; his dissertation will focus on how multimedia is used for assessment in an online environment to support student learning. He also earned a Master of Arts in International Studies from Ohio University and holds a Master of Arts in Adult Education from the University of Ghana.

In joining the Instructional Technology team at UMBC, Ben brings prior experiences as an instructional technologist at Ohio University and an instructional designer at non-profit and corporate organizations.

Ben will contribute to support and training on a wide range of instructional technologies in use at UMBC, including Ultra and synchronous tools. His experience with multimedia, accessibility, active learning, and transitioning faculty and courses during the pandemic are also an asset to the UMBC community.

Please join us in welcoming Ben into the UMBC family. We look forward to his future contributions to our community!

Kind regards,
