DoIT is sponsoring a "joint viewing" of the three-part EDUCAUSE online course, "Leading and Developing Blended Learning within an Active Learning Framework."

Each live session will be 90 minutes starting at 1 p.m. on the following dates:

A Case for Blended Learning within an Active Learning Framework

Wed., Aug. 15 | Register on myUMBC
Applying Active Learning Principles with a Blended Learning Course Design

Wed., Aug. 22 | Register on myUMBC
Applying Quality Indicators in Blended Courses
*Meeting in Engineering 101L

More info and note from EDUCAUSE: "Participants will be asked to complete assignments in between the course segments that support the learning objectives and will receive feedback from course facilitators. Also, participants who successfully complete the entire activity will receive an EDUCAUSE digital badge." 

Note from DoIT: This will be a "joint viewing" of a live online session, but if you wish to attend all three sessions, please register for each "joint viewing" separately in myUMBC. To help us plan, light refreshments will be provided to myUMBC registered participants (please indicate any special dietary needs in a comment below or email to dahlen@umbc.edu). Finally, there will be an archive of the EDUCAUSE presentations above, which may be of interest to faculty already registered for the Blackboard Ultra Boot Camp starting Wed, August 15.
