Description

UMBC's Instructional Technology staff interviews colleagues to talk about all things instructional technology and Going Online. Our guests bring their insight and experiences to the table, followed by a Q&A session from our audience.

For its 24th annual conference, URCAD had to overcome an abrupt change: campus closure due to the pandemic. In quick collaboration, URCAD was held virtually using VoiceThread. After the success of transitioning the conference online, a number of on and off campus partners wanted to keep their conferences moving forward, too.

For this GO Chat, we are joined by a panel of some of UMBC's largest conferences that went virtual by using VoiceThread over the past year. Our panel includes Dr. April Householder, Dr. Kathy Sutphin, and Peter DeCrescenzo, all who coordinated efforts to make URCAD, SURF, and the USM LSAMP Alliance, respectively, possible.
