While DoIT administers and maintains the campus Research Computing and Data Infrastructure and Services, DoIT is advised by the Research and Creative Achievement Shared Infrastructure Governance Steering Committee (RCA-SIG). The RCA-SIG was formed following the 2023 RCTF Report by campus researchers to the university administration. Item 1 of the response by VP of DoIT & CIO Jack Suess along with VP of DRCA Dr. Karl Steiner highlighted the need for this group and laid-out its general structure. The structure and operation of the RCA-SIG is outlined in the RC-SIG Governance document. The RC-SIG deliberates on policies and issues facing campus researchers and works to recommend best practices for the administration and growth of the campus Research Computing and Data Infrastructure and Services.
Voting Membership
The RCA-SIG is composed of each of the college deans (or their delegates), the chairs of the RCA-SIG Subcommittees, and the Vice President for Research & Creative Achievement and the Vice President of Information Technology.
