MAC Subcommittee: Microcredential Design & Quality — Meeting #1

The Microcredential Advisory Committee (MAC) brings together faculty, staff, and campus partners to help shape the future of UMBC's digital credential ecosystem. The MAC's work is organized around three strategic pillars: microcredential design and quality, the earner experience and communication, and employer engagement and economic mobility.

The Microcredential Design & Quality subcommittee ensures UMBC's microcredentials are designed with rigor, coherence, and intentionality. The group considers questions of credential quality, competency language, assessment, taxonomy, and alignment with broader frameworks such as NACE competencies. The subcommittee works closely with the Microcredential Review Board to help shape the standards and frameworks that guide credential development and review.
