June 1 2012 Mail Delivery Delays
Today UMBC was the victim of a targeted spamming attack that overwhelmed our e-mail environment. Our staff are working to address the issues but it has been challenging as all of the spam is originating from compromised UMBC accounts. At this time the delivery delays are not nearly as severe as last weekend but you can expect to see some messages take up to several hours to be delivered. Users who are on UMBC's Google Mail system are currently not experiencing delays.
