April 1st Pokemon Battles Break myUMBC Comment Records
We wish to thank everyone who took part in the April fools celebration this year. For those who may have missed it, myUMBC comments played host to Pokemon battles on April 1st. myUMBC Discussions such as this and this resulted in hundreds of people commenting to do battle.
On April 1st alone, myUMBC received a total of 1,175 comments from 446 different people! These are record numbers in myUMBC for total comments in a single day as well as for unique people commenting in a single day.
To put this into perspective, the previous records were 413 comments on a single day (on Feb 13, 2014), and 148 unique people leaving comments on a single day (on Feb 17, 2015).
