Grade reports in REX
Some additions have been made to REX reports related to grades. All the reports mentioned here can be accessed by going to rex.umbc.edu, clicking on 'Guided Reports' then navigating to Student Records and Enrollment > Course Enrollment.
A new report, Grade Distribution Trends, has been created in REX to allow users to view the grade distribution by classes over time. Users may view the data by Gender, Ethnicity, Cohort Type (Freshman/Transfer) and Service Indicator. "Service" means the course is being taught to a student outside the major. In other words, the student's plan is not being managed by the organization managing the course they are enrolled in.
The parameter Cohort Type has been added to two existing reports.
- Grade Distrbituion by Org with Repeats
- Grade Distribution by Organization
In order to distinguish between the session codes within a term, most helpful for the summer terms, we have modified the following reports to include breakout by Session:
- Courses by DFW Rate and Average Grade
- Grade Distribution Trends by Faculty
- Grade Distrbituion by Org with Repeats
- Grade Distribution by Organization
- High Deficiency Rate Courses
