Description

Every semester, Instructional Technology presents its Feature a Teacher and Tool series, showcasing a UMBC instructor’s use of technology for teaching and discussing how the technology can support the teaching and learning experience with students.

This fall during National Distance Learning Week Nancy McAllister, Adjunct Professor of Environmental Science in the Geography & Environmental Systems Department, gave us a glimpse of her creative technology setup to strengthen student engagement using Class Collaborate (formerly Blackboard Collaborate). Join us for this 30-minute webinar as Nancy walks us through the setup using her smartphone and a phone stand/tripod, and shares her tips and best practices to get the most out of her synchronous sessions.
