Are you wondering how the recent Blackboard Gradebook redesign changes the way you manage grading and assessment in your course?
Join us for this updated, 45-minute webinar, where we will explore Blackboard brand-new Gradebook experience. Whether you are looking to learn the basics or get up to speed on the latest updates, this session will help you prepare for the upcoming semester.
Topics will include how to:
- Manage Grades: Access gradebook history and download your gradebook.
- Create Grade Categories: Organize your grading system to match your course structure.
- Calculate Grades: Use Total Calculations & Overall Grade settings to display students' grades.
- Customize Grades: Drop scores from grade calculations and exempt individual grades.
We'll provide practical tips to help you make the most of these powerful tools. Q&A after the session (~15 minutes) is available to ask additional questions.
This session will be facilitated by Dr. Mariann Hawken, Director, Instructional Technology and Dr. Josh Abrams, Instructional Design Specialist. Open to all faculty and instructional staff.

This webinar will take place in a Google Meet virtual conference room. Enter the webinar up to 15 minutes before the start time. Visit the myUMBC Event post and select the "Join Online Event" button to join the Google Meet session.
