Location

Off Campus

Date & Time

October 16, 2019, 10:00 am2:00 pm

Description

Ensuring that you can find, and use, appropriately copyrighted course materials can be daunting. Faculty update courses with new content and activities regularly, including copyrighted materials.

Faculty may also be interested in locating appropriate open educational resources (OER) that have a license associated with them that tells you have when using those materials for their course.

MarylandOnline offers this FREE workshop to define and describe the complex concept of copyright. Creative Commons, a licensing agent that works with copyright, is also explained.

Facilitators: Buddy Muse, Program Manager, E-Learning, Innovation, and Teaching Excellence (ELITE); and Alex Moyer, Librarian for STEM, Montgomery College.

The facilitators will have, and point participants to, resources including links to the Montgomery College’s Copyright and Creative Commons libguides on the Library web site, and the Montgomery College policy on copyright.
