Description

Are you interested in taking your course online, but want to engage your students in a more meaningful way? Learn how to leverage Blackboard Collaborate and some of the new tools featured in the Ultra course experience!

In Blackboard Collaborate, instructors are able to create breakout sessions which allows for students to converse in a smaller settings, then share back with the larger class. Students are able to work on documents, share screens, and draw on a shared whiteboard in their breakout sessions.

Through Assignments in Ultra Courses, instructors may enable class conversations which allows students to asynchronously communicate through a discussion board, and even set up a time to meet through their own Blackboard Collaborate room that is specific to their group.

Join us to learn how you can leverage groups in your Ultra course!

Objectives:
  • Assign students into groups through the manage tool, or by using the self-enroll tool
  • Distinguish between the groups tool from the course tools menu and groups in assignments
  • Deploy an assignment with class conversations enabled
  • Determine use cases to apply break out session in a Blackboard Collaborate session
The session will begin at 12pm, but is offered from 12pm-1pm for any participant questions.
