Skill Builder workshops are intended for novice users of Blackboard who need to learn how to use core components & supporting technologies, or for experienced users who want to refresh their skills.

This workshop will focus on ways faculty can effectively use the Communication & Engagement Tools in Blackbaord Ultra to:

• Facilitate communication using course messages and email

• Create & send private messages to one user or the entire class

• Create & post announcements

• Create & reply to discussions and conversations

• Organize discussions using folders

• Create groups & enroll students in groups 

• Use the course calendar

• Customize student activity notification settings 

• Use the student activity indicator
