Description

Looking for a faster, easier way to provide meaningful student feedback? Join us for a 30-minute overview and live demo of the AVA Feedback Assistant, a new, AI-powered tool now available in Blackboard Ultra.

Discover how AVA's Feedback Assistant can generate summaries based on rubric selections and help you revise your own comments for clarity and tone. We’ll explore how AVA integrates seamlessly into the grading workflow, giving you the option to save time while maintaining a personal touch. By the end of this 30-minute session, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the core features of AVA’s Feedback Assistant, including AI-generated summaries and revision tools.
  2. Explore AVA’s flexible grading interface to generate, revise, and personalize student feedback.
  3. Evaluate when and how to incorporate AVA into their grading workflows while maintaining instructor voice and academic integrity.
  4. Review Anthology’s Trustworthy AI Approach

The AVA Feedback Assistant capabilities are opt-in and the instructor is always in control of the content generated. This session is ideal for instructors who want to explore how generative AI can support -- but not replace -- their voice in the classroom.

This session will be facilitated by Dr. Mariann Hawken, Director of Instructional Technology.
