Internet2 NET+ Honors UMBC’s Jack Suess with the 2025 Cloud Superhero Award
The Internet2 NET+ Program is pleased to announce that Jack Suess, vice president of information technology and chief information officer at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, is the recipient of the 2025 Cloud Superhero Award. Jack was honored at the Higher Education Cloud Forum in New York on Tuesday, May 20.
The award recognizes community members who possess cloud superpowers and
share them with the research and education community.
Jack’s contributions to the cloud community include co-chairing the EDUCAUSE/Internet2 Security Task Force, chairing the REN-ISAC Advisory Group, chairing the InCommon Steering Committee, serving on both the Internet2 and EDUCAUSE boards, and serving on both the NET+ and Community Engagement professional advisory groups.
