Description
Today's learners have diverse abilities and backgrounds, including students with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities, differing cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and varied preferences and motivations for learning. Universal Design for Learning (UDL) assists in meeting the challenge of diversity by providing flexible instructional materials, techniques, and strategies for designing instruction and institutional policies and practices more broadly.
The EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative will host a free webinar on Universal Design for Learning. The purpose of the event is to:
- Learn how UDL helps instructors design for all learners from the outset.
- Consider the importance of using all three UDL principles in creating curriculum and institutional practices.
- Understand opportunities and challenges for UDL implementation in postsecondary education settings.
