What Works, How and Why?

Description

Does Blackboard make a difference? If so, how, why and for whom? Since 2007, the Division of Information Technology (DoIT) has been analyzing how UMBC students and faculty use our Bb online learning management system (LMS), which first arrived on campus in Spring 2000. We've written about this and presented at IT conferences but would like to share what we think we've learned and also welcome feedback. If you're interested in a "big picture" presentation about one of UMBC's most widely-used technologies, followed by a lively Q&A, then join us as John Fritz, Asst. VP from DoIT, provides a peek behind the UMBC Bb curtain.

Note: Lunch will be provided for registered participants and begin at 11:45 a.m. If you have specific dietary requests, please note them in the comments or contact Helena Dahlen at 410.455.3208 or dahlen@umbc.edu.
