Date & Time
February 26, 2021, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Description
UMBC's Instructional Technology staff interviews colleagues to talk about all things instructional technology and Going Online. Our guests bring their insight and experiences to the table, followed by a Q&A session from our audience.
For our February GO Chat, we're reflecting on the transition from face-to-face programs and courses to an online delivery designed for first year students. Summer and Winter Bridge Programs, first year experience courses, and transfer courses all underwent major transitions to welcome UMBC's newest community members online.
We will be joined by Dr. Laila M. Shishineh, Director of First-Year & Transfer Academic Programs in the Division of Undergraduate Academic Affairs (UAA) at UMBC. In this role she oversees several campus initiatives including: Academic Transition Courses (FYS, IHU, and TRS), Summer & Winter Bridge Programs, and the Living-Learning Communities.
We hope you will join us to learn more about first year programs, and how Laila prepared for the transition. Following our interview, session participants are encouraged to join us for a Q&A session.
