Embed & Collaborate in Bb with Office 365 & Google Files

Transform your Blackboard courses with cloud resources

Date & Time

January 9, 2024, 12:00 pm1:00 pm

How can you ensure students have the most current materials in your course? What collaborative opportunities with cloud documents could you leverage for students to provide deeper engagement with course content?

Managing certain types of files in Blackboard can be a cumbersome experience for resources that change often between semesters -- for example, a syllabus, course schedule, assignment instructions. Fortunately, new Blackboard tools allow faculty to seamlessly embed cloud files from Google Workspace and/or Microsoft OneDrive. Additionally, instructors can create collaborative Google or Microsoft documents, spreadsheets, and presentations to support student learning, allowing multiple users to edit a document for a team project or work on a shared presentation.

Discover how to leverage these tools with your courses and students in this 30-minute overview and demo.

Session objectives:
  • Review the benefits of integrating cloud-created resources in your Ultra course
  • Link to cloud-created resources from Google Workspace and/or Microsoft OneDrive
  • Create collaborative documents to facilitate student interaction and engagement
  • Facilitate real-time collaboration among students using Google Workspace and/or Microsoft OneDrive
This session will be facilitated by Instructional Technology staff.

Participants who register at least 24 hours before the session will have an opportunity to experience the tools in a live demo.
