December 2, 2021, 11:00 am5:00 pm

Description

The Online Learning Consortium will host college and university leaders in conversations on best practices in equity in higher education. In the keynote, Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, UMBC's President, will discuss institutional culture change and its role in supporting innovations in undergraduate education – including course redesign, active learning, community-building, and the use of technology – that promote student success, inclusive excellence, and achievement for all students.

During this synchronous and asynchronous virtual event, participants may also:

  • Review strategies, practices, and connections between individual practices, institutional outcomes, and practical ways to support student success through a lens of equity.
  • Explore the art of digital storytelling and how it can be used to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in digital learning spaces.
  • Gain practical advice for advancing equity at the institution and classroom level.
  • Contribute to a report for putting equity into action in higher education.

Registration includes access to discussions, collaborative work, hands-on instructions, and presentations.

Review the agenda and register with OLC.

If you are unable to attend any of the sessions on December 2, you will have access to the recordings after the event.

This virtual event is part of a thought leadership event series the Online Learning Consortium (OLC) hosts called Foundry Days.
