Network and Wireless Outages Today (September 9th)
Earlier today around 1:00pm there was a unplanned outage to the wireless networks across campus. Full service was restored a few minutes later.
Later in the day, around 4:50pm there was an general network outage that affected both wired and wireless communications for about 2-3 minutes. There was a central piece of equipment that crashed and caused this outage, the exact cause of the crash is still being investigated at this time.
While we are still working to determine the cause of these events, they do not appear to be related at this time. We are continuing to work to determine exactly what happen so measures can be put in place to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
We are sorry for any inconvenience these outages may have caused. At this point all services have been fully restored.
